Shadow Tartans?

To expound a bit on Matt's comments:

MM does 2 "black shadow tartans" in their 13 oz range and 2 in their 16 oz. They also do a grey one in their 13 oz (with very little "change" when you look at it from an angle).

Batley does (in 16 oz, I believe) 1 black, 1 navy, 1 cream, 1 white.

I don't think Strathmore does any.

As mentioined by DTrain I have two Shadow Tartan Kilts from Stillwater. I believe they about 13 oz. wool. The tartan pattern is easily seen in the solid green kilt I have. In the black one the effect is very subtle and only seen under certain light or at an angle.

The solid green I have is one of my favorites.

As Jamie says, the green shadow tartan is stunning, while the black is pretty subtle. here is a snapshot of a necktie in the saffron (on the left) which shows the weave fairly well.
