It seems that it was a Virginia Company / Polish connection
and not an England /Poland connection that brought the 1st Poles to Jamestown
Of course, the Va. Co. of London was an English joint-stock company, but it was an official government institution. It wouldn't be until the 1620's when the Va. Co. would turn the colony of Virginia over to the Crown.
