Answer to "Why the Kilt?"

When I was on the cruise last week, the cruise directors always reminded us "you're on vacation", so when I was participating in a game and one of them pointed me out and said "nice kilt" , I said "my pants are on vacation"

It works great, and gets most flustered and unable to respond.

The other day, a very attractive "young Lady" ( wearing a skirt) asked shyly, the enviable ?? Normally I answer - shoes & socks, but I was feeling "smart", so I answered by asking what she was wearing, Her answer - " Bikini" she turned very red) Why didn't I discover the kilt 40 years ago ????
