OK I got home last night from a long trip in a snow storm only to find a soggy package on my doorstep. The regular mail lady must be on vacation. Of course there were two SWKs inside, thrifty McLaren for BSA wear and economy Irish Nat.,because I'm the only non Irish in my house. Ordered on Friday afternoon, confirmed within the hour, prepared for shipping on Saturday, shipped Monday (did I mention that it was Christmas Eve), received Thursday afternoon, on my backside within minutes. I couldn't wait to put the groceries away, no self control! Pas de Jones. How can I possibly develop any self pity with that kind of service! It's nice to see that kind of professional detail and attention in this day and age.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I wanted a kilt that I could pop on at a moments notice, go to the store, go hiking, go to work, etc and not worry about damaging a garment that is worth more than most of my vehicles. These are exactly that. I must confess that when I opened the box I got that chill/thrill when I saw the tartan (you all know what I'm talking about!) The colors are vibrant and the material has a surprisingly nice hand. The fit was on the large side but not enough to be a problem. I'm not used to having the pleats un-sewn but fortunately "I can't see it from my house" and it is just a stylistic thing that I can certainly live with. These aren't tanks, nor are they intended to be!. I already have one of those and will get another someday. They are what they are and they're pretty cool. I have a nice car that I drive my family to church in and I have a truck to go to the dump and haul wood. It's like that. At an average $35 apiece there is no reason not to have a bunch.
Pics will, of course, follow soon (like you all haven't seen enough of these already)
