Tommie from Boston, Massachusetts. My Avatar is an SWK Irish National, and I love it. I have sewn several kilts now. My first is 12 oz black denim that was on clearance at the local fabric shop. It is holding up quite well. I have sewn two plaid kilts, one of wool/acrylic 50/50 blend that holds the pleats real well and one of 14 oz cotton flannel that does require ironing after every wash. This is a very addictive hobby. I rarely am seen in trousers other than at work, where the safety rules require them. I hope that you enjoy being kilted as much as the rest of the rabble. My kilt is warmer than trousers at 11 f. at night here in the Northeast.
