I wear Doc Martens with my kilt regularly. The boots are a bit tall to wear with scrunched hose, so I wear them with hose up and flashes and give 'em a good shine.

That'll work, but I still say knee high moccasin boots would go great with a kilt. Guess you wouldn't need to show any hose with those.

That I can not say but they are very nice looking I got mine in black but the brown looks good as well, sorry I can't be of more help to you.

I also wear Doc Martens. For those occasions where the boots aren't appropriate, I wear Doc Martens shoes, which are basically a low-top version of the boots.

A pair of the 3 eye docs, prefferably steel-toe in Oxblood, have been on my list for a while. I'll own a pair one of these days...
