I got my first kilt, then found X-marks!
I'll take a cup of kindness yet for that

I have to agree with MrBill. Traveling to Vegas without any pants was definitely a highlight of the year. Giving the other tourists there a few accidental "Marilyn Monroe" shows made it that much better.

Like so many others...getting my first kilt (and eventually my 9th!), having my wife support my habit, and finding and joining XMarks. Also, getting a new job that I start 1 week from today.

I'm going to have to say finally marrying Diane. We'd waited far too long and it was wonderful to finally do it. (Hey, I wore a kilt...)
But next to that, I'd have to say finding X-Marks.
That was a pretty good night.

I wore my Kilt for the first time on New Years eve 2007, so it's a pretty significant and rememberable date for me...Then I joined XMTS...Happy New Year everyone.

It would have to be:
1) purchasing my first kilt, (which I now have over 15 kilts)
2) Joining the Krewe of Shamrocks, (which is a kilted parade krewe)
3) Joining the Egypt Shrine Highlander's Bagpipe Band,
4) Joining Xmark and meeting new friends like Mark W. & Mark B. (frugal corner), Jay (james macmillan), and all my Stone Mtn. Xmarkers Turpin, TheScot, Southern Scot, Cowdorian. Also all my Masonic Brothers and my fellow USMC's out there..
5) Competing in my first Highland Games at Stone Mtn.
6) Almost forgot MY FIRST KILT CHECK....
