As a blanket wearing person, I would say It won't hurt you to take a belted plaid along if you can come up with one. Take the pants too, but a wearable blanket is a very good travel item if you will be doing a little camping or even train riding.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
