Wow! My mind tangled this thread with that Scotland hiking thread, I'm sorry. I still stand by my belted plaid statement, but for Ireland. My mother, she lived over there for a while, says it can get cold and wet for long streches. She also said, as soon as the sun came back out the men would start taking off their shirts and sun bathing. Hope all goes well, and go with the color that looks best on you. Good luck and have fun.
