It's your own style, but if I may be so bold as to say that (in my eyes)wearing a buckle with your vest makes the vest seem like it is too short. Your dress sporran seems nice enough to provide enough flash.

You look great and I agree about the belt and buckle. They add substance and flash to the ensemble. When I wear my PC, I've tried the outfit with no belt, but it just looks like something is missing.
Besides, with no belt, where would I hang my dirk?
