Regardless of how much sleep you had, the project looks awesome. I wish I had the resources and tools to do my own sgian dubh... which would also result in a mini version. I'd also figure a way to work it into a belt buckle.

Nope, I made it for a knife exchange, the theme was sub 2" blade. I then remembered I couldn't ship the baleen or ivory to Europe. It's razor sharp (normalized, hardened and tempered) so it wouldn't work very well as a kilt pin. I can keep it in my pocket for when I need something sharp. I might make closeable sheath.
