    Hey Tommie, there are kilts pleated like that called "Kinguisse kilts.

    Matthew Newsome talks about this style of kilt part way through the artical. It's a rare style, but no one can complain that it's wrong.

    If you make one though, Tommie, you will have a very rare style of kilt. If I were a kilt maker, I would make one. Wish you luck.
