I use the rubber band system which works well but here's another, try eyelash glue applied to the turn catch (or whatever you call that thingy that holds the pin in place just to get techie) it will hold until you manually break it loose. It was suggested by my kind wife and works really well but being a belt and suspenders (braces) I use both methods just to be sure there's some overkill involved.
