Michael and Sally Boyd of Scot's Valley will attend. We live in that same retirement
community so it is just a walk down the hill for us. Walking back uphill after the festivities

Important Information from the Amazing Madalyne! Attendees take note
Saturday, January 26, 2008 Nor Cal Rabble Robert Burns Supper
Location: Scott's Valley CA off Highway 17 between San Jose and Santa Cruz (detailed directions to follow)
Price: $15 per person, children 12 years and under free There will be a children's area and table
Feel free to contribute a Scottish/Burns Supper dish to be coordinated with Madalyn.

Menu and Program
4:00pm--5:00pm Set up
5:00pm--6:30pm Scotch Tasting, Pictures and Appetizers
Smoked salmon, crackers and cheeses, veggie plate, shrimp platter.
Drinks: beer, wine, fruit juices, water and sodas
6:30pm--7:00pm Traditional Burns' Supper program and presentation of the haggis
7:00pm--8:00pm Dinner
Soup: Cock-a-leekie , Salads: green, fruit, pasta, Entrees: Rib Roast, rolls and butter (provided by ticket price), baked or fried fish, green vegetables, chappit taties (mashed potatoes), bashed neeps (mashed turnips and/or rutabagas) Desserts: shortbread cookies, Sherry Triffle, cake
8:00pm--9:00pm Dancing
9:00pm-10:00pm Clean up
The reason we can do this Burns' Night for such an inexpensive ticket fee is that we are all working together to make this happen. For example those interested in participating in the scotch tasting should bring a single bottle of their favorite single malt. Let us know what you can bring and / or perform.

Just to reiterate what I have told a few of you,
Myself, the Significant Other and possibly the Little Celtic Dancer will be in attendance but I am not sure when we will arrive. I will have to work that day until 3pm
As a side note, my eyesight is getting better in my post-operative eye.
Looking forward to seeing all of you (and I'm bringing he still camera and the digital video cam for evidence!)
