Woodbadge is more of a Boy Scout training instead of Cub Scout.

But, no worry, there is a Cub Scouts of America tartan.

Thank you for pointing that out. I thought that the father had been a boy scout leader when I brought up the woods badge, but I wasn't thinking right. That being said, I was in the cub scouts and now I'm interested in this tartan. Thanks.

    Wood Badge

There is a Wood Badge training for Cub Scouters and one for Boy Scout Leaders. You have to have your ticket done for either of the above before you can "officialy" wear the tartan. HOWEVER, as we all know, there are no restrictions as to the tartan we wear as long as you wear it with pride and know the origins and meaning behind the tartan. SO... go ahead and get that kilt in the MacLaren tartan and wear it to your next Pinewood Derby and wow the rest of the Pack.
BTW I got my beads and woggle back in 1995 and added a second and third set helping with the course that trains adult leaders. Take the plunge and get the kilt AND then sign up for the next available Wood Badge course.
