New US Army semi-trad from USAK

Today's mail brought my new "semi-trad" kilt in the US Army tartan from USA Kilts! Instead of yet another review of this excellent style of PV kilt, let me just say, "Well done, Rocky!" Super craftsmanship and fit - I love it!!

I've paired it in these pics with my "Shirt, Field, Wool, O.G., M1951", one of the best items our army ever issued. The bonnet is by Diane Jensen Donald (Arlen's talented wife)....

I really like the Army tartan, though I do wish there was some artillery red in the sett...!

Great outfit and very nice new kilt (pleated to stripe is a good choice for that tartan).

    Cheers

Being a previous cannon cocker myself I believe the Infantry blue and Calvary yellow should be guarded (bordered) by Artillery Red. But then I am biased. I just wish that !@#$% cell phone in my head would stop ringing.

Your kilt and shirt do look good.

    Brilliant Minds Think Alike

Some weeks ago I read a thread in this forum that the available fabric for the US Army was running a bit low. That notice got me off my backside. Today I received the shipping notice for my new USAK US Army Semi Trad. & I can't wait for the package to arrive.
Great looking kilt! Congratulations & thanks to Rocky & Kelly for finishing the kilts before their well deserved vacation.

I was in a 155mm SP battalion, but never in one of the gun batteries. Did all my work as a Fire Support officer for an armor battalion. Fun guys, those tankers...!
