That's got to be the only time I've ever seen it in the sun. Every time I'm there it's pouring down.
Thanks for the pictures.

Whenever I can, which isn't nearly as often as I'd like.
I used to spend a lot of time going to Aberlemno. I love the Pictish stones, there.
Angus in general is a lovely place.

Thanks for sharing. The photos are indeed fascinating, and that's a beautiful locale.
I have two questions: 1) what is a moss? 2) when you say the oldest priory, do you mean monastery?

now-drained Restenneth Moss
1, i'm sure it's a wee hill/mound proturding from marshland, which this used to sit above, now drained, as to the north of it is all marshland. or it's what the marshland was called.
2, a building where monks or nuns live, work and pray (collins dictionary)

Thanks for clearing that up. I asked because I do know that monastic communities existed in Scotland over a century before this one was built, so I didn't know if you were using the term in a very technical sense of priory as opposed to monastery. So in that sense, it's not the oldest in Scotland, unless you don't consider Iona to be part of your country.
