Hey Ron, you'll go blind looking at that picture of Sylvana. LOL! LOL! LOL!
Sorry, I had to say it. She's also into sewing, she's kind of looking into making me a kilt and she's working on putting draw strings on my belted plaids. Like I said, she's a very interesting, and I'll add skilled lady.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Like my favorite Rumi poem,
"I want to kiss you.
The price of kissing is your life.
Now my loving is running to my living shouting,
'What a bargain! Lets take it!'"

Well, Riverkilt, I could say a bit more..., but I think that would be removed for a number of reasons, LOL.
Just to change the topic back to kilts, here is a little review, and I will put a copy in the first post also.
Review
The standard SWK Nightstalker is made from an acrylic fabric, I don't know the weight, but it is lighter than the wool. The acrylic has a much smoother texture which isn't a problem, but I worry about fuzz developing and also that it will be snagged easily. I don't wear it too often for that reason. The hang and swing and all that isn't as good as wool, but that fabric has a soft comfortable feel to it. I want to say like some kinds of sweaters. That's the part I like about the acrylic...
The Weathered Lamont (1/2 set), (13 Oz SWK wool heavyweight kilt) really does hang and swing better. The wool has a texture and feel like no other fabric. I haven't gotten around to correcting the SWK first pleat/apron taper issue, but it isn't too bad.
I don't see how the two fabrics can be compared, there's too big a difference. I try not to think of them as the same kind of kilt, or use them in the same way. That being said, I would be happy if SWK would start making the Nightstalker in the heavyweight wool again.

Well Ted,
Hope someday your budget allows you a nice USA Kilts semi-trad or even a hand sewn 16 ounce strome. Big difference from acrylic...big difference...
And, as we started, good to put a face to the name.

I'm moving this post to my last post because of editing problems.

Awsome pictures, Ted! You look great in both kilts. Best of luck on getting a USAK!
And Ron, if you want to woo a lass...say somthing like this:
"So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows,
As yonder lady o'er her fellows shows"
Now behave.
Cheers.

Yo Joel! What's with wooing the lady by talking about her crows feet. Just joking.

Ha-ha! And they say Shakespeare's outdated!
(That's why I talk about her hair and eyes, instead.)
Cheers!

I don't know about you guys, but I get loged off all the time when I'm trying to post any more than a sentence. It's very agrovating to write things this way. I have to write half the post by going back several times and editing it. I still have to log back in doing that sometimes. I think it's the phone lines out here or something. Oh well, I'm glad to just be a member.

It could be the phone lines. But I'm not sure...I'm not very computer savvy.
My computer has a bad modem and it'll shut off all access to the internet and close out on me.
Hopefully things will be resolved with your posting trouble and your decision on a future kilt!
