I tend to agree. Dogs generally don't need any clothing other than a collar. They certainly don't need any help looking cute or silly; they do very well enough on their own.

In my own defense, I dressed up Monty for a Halloween party with his dog training class, and since I always went kilted...well, it only made sense. You definitely knew who he belonged to.

$60 for a wee little doggy kilt?

Feel free to send all that excess disposable income my way - I'll make better use of it!

There was a booth selling "Doggie Kilts" at the Richmond games this past October. I'd never put one on Dakota (my Aussie mix) because she is so hyper, the kilt wouldn't last 5 minutes. Their prices were more on the order of 30 to 40 dollars though.

Pip is indeed a cute dog.
He's very easy going and just likes to get attention.
I think Niki is maybe just a wee bit more regal than Pip. :P

I never used to be one for dressing up animals, but Pip would sometimes get cold and I'd put one of my t-shirts on him. He had so much fun and would just walk around with my t-shirt on for hours.

Now my Mother-in-law's Boyfriend, a semi-professional photographer, keeps talking about making a children's book based on Pip, the dress up dog.

William Wegman has made an entire career out of dressing up dogs but I don't recall ever seeing any in kilts.

I think this would be cute on some dogs. Have a great day.

I met that guy at a party once...he was very rude. His body of work says less about his imagination and more about the Patience of Weirmarners.
