    Breves causae of Matthew

Here is my interpretation. I hesitated posting it before I contacted the artist that created the other version. I sent an email with no response and tried calling today. I admit that I had never thought of turning this image into a pin. I have created other pins from the Book of Kells images. My Daughter has a coloring book with simplified images suitable for pin making. I carved it in wood, made a mold and poured two. One is lightly buffed and the other is ground flat, polished, set with a turqoise eye, and buffed. So, from the Breves causae of Matthew.

So if anyone has misgivings about celtic artwork recreated in pewter feel free to send them to me. I'll be glad to ease your conscience.

Fantastic work O'Neille, I particularly like the one that is ground flat.

Those are both awesome. I'm sure you could sell a bunch of those. How big are they? I see no issue with making the design in pewter.

They are 3x1.5" and 1.1 oz. I just ground and polished the rough one. No eye though, it is a pain to size and set.

So when are you going to offer these for sale.

Unless you're just feeling really benevolent and want to give me a gift.

It's just sitting on my shelf waiting for a home. PM me and we'll see how good your bartering skills are.
