All guests will receive a welcome pack upon arrival- it will contain all the information about the weekend. All the information included this page will be in the welcome pack. (So you do not need to print this and bring it with you- it will be waiting in your room at Ferintosh.)
_____________
Alricht- some new information has come tae licht- now that we arr getting’ closer an’ ai am confirmin’ e’ery thing…. a few changes have needed tae bae made…..
Change one-
Alan (owner o’ Sulwath Brewery) agreed o’er the summer (an o’er a few pints) to give us a tour oan Jan 20 &27…. (unless ai misunderstood him- which is certainly possible)…But in oiny case… noo he cannae dae it… his son plays hockey oan Sundays…. So he is sorry and he is happy to give tours to us oan Saturday but no oan Sunday…. (ai will tae full responsibility fur the misunderstandin’ and ai apologize tae ya all fur messin this oop)
Sae… the Sunday Caerlaverock trip is still scheduled and we can gae tae Bladnoch distillery after (aboot an hoor and a haf drive) arr we could gae tae Sweetheart Abbey arr possibly Ellisland (Burns Fairm) if it is open oan a Sunday… we will sort it oot at dinner oan Friday….
Change twa-
The second weekend- the Pub Crawl happens oan Jan 25 (the actual Burns Nicht) sae we cannae end the crawl a’ the Globe- they are closed for the Burns Howff Club Dinner….
Sae we will end a’ the Coach & Horses and we will add anither pub intae the crawl… and we will have tae visit the Globe Saturday afternoon arr Sunday….
Change three-
Wi’ Hamish no able tae mak it we need someyin tae dae the Immortal Memory… ai will step in an dae a short yin… ai’m sure it will no bae as guid as Hamish- but ai will bae my best….
That’s the changes… if maire come alain’- we will handle them as they happen- nay problem….

Hamish will indeed be fine. He's just bit under the weather and should stay home and keep his feet up. A 400 mile drive is not advisable just now. Think 8 hours on an airliner if you are having circulation problems as my partner does.
If Hamish does not make the suppers we'll still have all the rest of us - we're XMarkers after all. Robertson and Emma have a very fine establishment and do a bang up job for ANY guest - so we're all good.
Mark and all I look forward to seeing all of you at Week 2 of the Ferintosh Burns weekends.

OH YES! I am so ready to meet ALL of the others at The Ferintosh. I send my best wishes for The Health of Hamish. We will toast to his health and the Good Health of ALL!! . I think that I have everything ready to pack. It seem I will need a steamer trunk or at least the equivalent to carry all the goodies back home. everyone wants a trinket from Scotland.
