Oh, and hope you are able to get the pin fixed.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I thought it was G. B. Shaw who asserted that the prohibition against ending a sentence with a preposition was "the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put."

Then there was the little boy who badgered his father into reading him a story at bedtime, and when he saw the book his father had brought into his bedroom complained,"What did you bring that book I don't want to be read to out of up for?"

Well... I'm sure all kinds of people have probably said it, but that has been touted as a Churchill quote. Um... I didn't personally hear him say it at the time that he was said to have said it, so I can't be sure. I think the story is that he had been confronted by a former teacher or something on the poor grammer of his day, or something like that. I have holes in my mind, so I'm trying... BTW LOL!

I should also throw in here that I was looking up the exact quote to post it, but was having a little trouble with all that, so I'm sorry for the confusion.

I've never had a pin do that before. I usually lose the backing piece but this ... hopefully my brother can weld it or something.

CT - it did however hold onto the fabric quite well afterward.
I got an Irish Brigade pin that I wear on as a kilt pin. I got at the Antietem battlefield gift shop. It did the same thing. I went in essence from one side of the country to the other to get the thing, and it broke on me! I feel your pain...

I shall see if it can be repaired with fire (I like fire, it's good for cooking chicken and so many other things), mayhaps a jewelry repair joing since it could use a good polishing as well.

CT - I thought Churchill was on the shore of Hudson Bay (and wondering when Steve'll get my hbc to me ...)
