    Both are very good advice, and I think it depends on how well you know the person that commented.

    Best advice is to ignore it. With the "jerk" for instance, to respond might be an invitation to a brawl (knowing jerks).

    Being 45 and having been around the block so to speak, I usually take most negative comments and turn them into a kilt tutorial. Skirt,---Kilt ,whatever..... Here is the difference. and so it goes. I've lived long enough to know intelligence and just plain ignorance. Enjoy being yourself as you are the only one that really has to answer for you
