A Snowy Day on Galalaw

The north winds brought more snow today - we have had a lot of falls of snow here in the Scottish Borders this winter but once the snow stops falling it rarely lasts on the ground for more than a day or so.

Looking back down from the track onto the factory of the Hawick Sock Company/House of Cheviot.

In the distance we can see that the police have closed the road out of town towards Selkirk at the roundabout at the entrance to Galalaw Business Park.

The snow begins to settle on the trees.

Snow hanging on the trees.

Reached the top of the tree line.

Higher up the snow clings heavily to the gorse.

The view towards Stirches

It was cold, but I went all the way to the top.

Finally, a telephoto view over the gorse looking back down towards town.
