LOL. Anything's possible. But, it's highly unlikely.

Copyrights and patents end at the border of their respective country. It is only a matter of gentleman's agreements that allow them to extend beyond those borders. The US does have such a gentleman's agreement with England. It is up to the copyright holder/patent holder or England to ask the US to enforce of the agreement. The US court system will levy fines as they are appropriate.

If you feel you deserve and that you want the kilt, I say buy it, but understand FC is the one subject to pay the piper, not you.

About the ethical question of what to do if you find out a kilt you bought was using a copyrighted tartan without paying the dues (just to be fair, let's say it was from ebay) I think there is a simple solution; Send a check for the appropriate amount to the owner of the copyright. Obviously you shouldn't knowingly ignore copyright laws, but once you have the kilt, there's no point in letting it go to waste.

    Morning
I was just at the Fc site and they now have a picture posted of their version of IOS. It wasike a flash bulb going off at close range. OMG!!!! I could probably wear that instead of Blaze Orange during hunting season. Then again, it would probably scare most of the game out of the county. Have a peak but be prepared for a shock

No recommended McNulty my good Man. A True Isle of Skye aficionado would shoot you on sight for wearing that.

It's far more than gentlemen's agreements. Copyrights and patents are the subject of treaties among nations, but not all nations are signatories of the same treaties. (BTW no country has had a treaty with England in several hundred years, not since the Act of Union.)
