Goodness, how did I miss this thread the first time around?
I own a kilt from this vendor. I read the listing carefully and received exactly what I expected: an acrylic, traditionally "styled" kilt in a nifty unusual pattern with sewn-down pleats at a low price. When I bought it Stillwater was just taking off and I wanted to compare them.
It is very similar to my Stillwater Standards, although Jerry at SWK has upgraded his straps/buckles over the past couple of years to now be nicer than these (which are lightweight stamped metal.) It has a liner, the pleats are deep and sewn down to the fell but are not cut out.
I received the item promptly and had no unusual communication problems with the vendor. I have seen them listed both from the Australian and the Canadian versions of ebay: I purchased mine from Australia simply because the item in the size I wanted was offered at that site.
Kinda funny--I was just going through my closet getting ready to thin the herd when I saw this thread come up again. This may be one I sell, not because I am dissatisfied but because I can only wear so many kilts and it duplicates others I have. Also as I am trying to get into yet another expensive hobby (pipe band) I need to free up money for that. Otheriwse I would keep it and wear it with no reservation.
