    Oh, please don't cut 'em off. Tie them into a neat bow, put a thread through the cent of the knot to keep it there, and then trim the ends on the bias to make it look good.

    It should look something like a neat bow tie when you're done. You can look here to see one pre-tied http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting, but I like the look of a real ribbon that is tied and hangs down just a little.

    And what do you do when the headband stretches, or some lass compliments your kilt? Keep the ribbons for future adjustment and when the wife's not around let the puppies blow in the wind .
