OK... Crap. I just bought myself a Sport Kilt. Eh, I know I'll like it. I like the whole look of it better than the USAK casual. I'm getting a USAK semi trad, though.

I don't have a USA kilt, but I have an old cotton Sport kilt and a SWK. The sport kilt is the one I wear around the house the most. Its easy to put on, its super comfy, and i don't have to worry about it. Its not a dress up kilt by any means. But if you want to go hiking or lay around the house, its perfect.

Never noticed it before when checking the website. Is it new?.
That is a very nice looking Kilt.
I think you mean the Division 17 tartan. No, isn't new. Furthermore, it is not pv material. It is a 9 oz. poly cotton blend.

I stand corrected. It is the Division 17 I was referring to,but I don't remember saying anything about it being PV.
I'm putting this one on my list.

Honestly, it's not that great of a material... the story behind it: When USA Kilts FIRST started out we had to buy all of our fabric locally (whatever we could find, whereever we could find it). The quality was good for the time (we've found MUCH better material now) and that's the material that Division 17 AOH in Philly chose for their tartan, so we bought a whole bunch of it. We're still selling it off, but only have a little left.
When you compare it side by side with PV, it really isn't that nice. Just giving you fair warning before you purchase it in a kilt. ;)

I use sportkilt as a around the house kilt and for my Highland games.
The next time I go home to PA, I will be stopping by Rocky's for a new kilt.

Yes, I think you did. Perhaps my reply could have been worded better. Rocky did a better job of explaining about the tartan.

no worries, guys. The Div 17 (9 oz cotton / poly) and the Cameron (12 oz 100% cotton twill) that we currently have are the ONLY tartans in the Casual Kilt category that aren't PV from MM.
