My brother can claim himself Cajun the same way. He married an Arceneaux from Eunice. I love the Cajun culture (cuisine, music, etc...). Of course, there's a celtic connection as I understand the cajuns are originally from Britanny via Acadia.

Actually, most of the Cajuns were originally from Poitou in France, not Brittany. You will find some Irish and Scots who intermarried with the Cajuns, though.
Ed Miller and I were discussing using Boudin Blanc as a substitute Haggis last evening at the Eureka Springs Burns Supper. He was quite favourable towards the idea!
