These stories of shrinking kilts always remind me of the young lady who, having just returned from a two-week first-class cruise of the Caribean, raved about the on-board cuisine: superbly done, five meals a day with appetizers available all day and night.

Hello - yes I'm indeed from Edinburgh and Auld Reekie has been quite bright today - even managed to have a stroll on Portie beach!
