Thanks for the tips. I haven't worn them yet, I am waiting on my weathered Gunn kilt from Stewart Rendall. I do know from personal experience that men's boots tend to be rougher on socks. Maybe its the way we tend to stomp around in boots. LOL

I wear 4 pairs of shoes, frequency in this order. Stomping around in boots is a forte of mine.
1. Rubber wellies with pirate skulls on them
2. Suade Keds
3. Combat boots, mil issue
4. mary jane flats which are my only "nice" shoes
If my addiction to boots and frequency of wear are any indicator, the socks should hold up reasonably well, although they are not indestructible by any means.
