Congratulations to you all for a wonderful set of pics, and an obviously well planned and orchestrated Burns Night.

Great Pics. Much thanks to Jamie for hosting, Madalyn for coordinating (and cooking!), and Alan and George for music that put all in the proper mood. This really was a great evening. The program was well paced with an excellent speech by W2F, the kids got along and let the adults have fun, the whisky flowed, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the company delightful. Well done all.
Best regards,
Jake

Here is a picture I don't think that my beloved Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess posted of me and my Dad (Loma Jim) in all his new kilted finery:
You look great Dad!
There was some video taping for some of the presenters. If the video falls through I will see if we can post the text some of speaches and toasts
Cheers
Jamie

Thanks
Last year was the first Burns’ Night Supper I and many of the Nor Cal Rabble had ever attended.
It was an amazing evening that stood very clear in our memories through the rest of the year. The thought of repeating and expanding that night for our second Burns’ Night Supper was a bit daunting. However the Nor Cal Rabble was up to the challenge. I would like one last opportunity to thank the following people.
Alan H. and his great band who went from a Bar Mitzvah to a Burns’ Night in less than 8 hours! Amazing musicians one and all (and Alan made the Haggis!).
The talented Piper George whose playing brought feel of the Highlands of Scotland to the Hills of Scott’s Valley.
Walkerk for his heroic effort in making it to our Burns Night! It just wouldn’t have been the same with out you Kent!
Bunchdescendant for his sincere and well presented “Toast to the Cook”
The lovely Chris and Dana (aka Mrs Bunchdescendant and The Little Celtic Dancer) who along with Victoria, my wonderful mother-in-Law Susan, and mother Linda made sure that the feast happened.
Monkey @ arms for taking the bullet and going up head to head against the formidable F-H.C.A.G. with his “Toast to the Lassies”
My lovely Flame-haired Celtic Amazon Goddess for kicking the evening off on the right note with “John Barleycorn” and representing all the ladies so well with her “Lassies Response” . Dancing with her is the highlight of any evening .
My friend gryphonaire for pulling a good one over on me for “fumbling” the “ Selkirk Grace” before doing it justice (you will never know how close to death you came that evening Gryphon!)
way2fractious did a thoughtful and interesting take on the “Immortal Memory” and sang! Well done w2f!
Our own cajunscot stretched his hand over hundreds of miles in an offer of friendship and goodwill between two Burns’ Night Suppers. We were glad to take that hand Todd and “tak a right gude-willy waught” with you and the folks at the Crescent Hotel. This toast showed the great power that the memory of Burns’ has for inspiring good fellowship.
My Dad for his aid in procuring and setting up The Old Mill for a memorable evening.
Our friends at the Devils Canyon Brewery for coming to our party in style and bringing such fine brew (who knew that Chris and Dan could clean up so nice? And kilted to boot! We raise our glasses (preferably full of Full Boar Scotch Ale) to you.
The fine folks at Montevalle for joining us for Burns’ Night and even XMTS in the case of Michael Boyd
(mixelito24) and my Dad (Loma Jim). The pleasure was all ours folks.
Never to forget of course the Amazing Madalyne! Simply said this evening would not have come about with out her! We are in your debt.
And lastly my great appreciation to everyone who braved the elements to share food, drink, songs, dances, and the memory of Robert Burns for another memorable night. I was glad to see all of you and wish I had had far more time to share with each of you.
I doff my plumed hat to you all!
Cheers
Jamie
What a night! Panache needs the fainting couch after such an evening!
