I am left handed but still wear my fly plaids on my left shoulder! I didn't think it had to do with handedness but with what is sartorially correct?

I’ll trade my Moderator’s cap for my plumed chapeau
And answer you in the fashion of Cyrano

A challenge I read within your post
So I will offer this riposte

“WHY OH WHY?” our Mr. MacDougall whines
“Does Panache ‘s fly plaid brooch on the right shines?”

Then again he impugns with smug glee
That a fashion faux pas was done by the emcee

So let me offer a few ideas for you
To perhaps explain this fly plaid’s skew

    Burroughsian:

I am her Chieftain, as she is my Princess
And strive to be so in manner and dress

    Shakespearean :

A woman’s ambitious whispers in the dark, the flash of knife brief
Till Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane, X Marks the Scot has a new Clan Chief!

    Medical:

Perhaps Panache did not dress in manner hectic
Could it be that the poor fellow is dyslexic?

    Fashinista :

    Boldly breaking with the past
This daring statement is one that shall last

    Symbolic:

Perhaps it was Hank himself that gave me permission
To wear the symbols of the Chief in my mission

And on and on I could continue till the day grows older,
why Panache’s Fly Plaid lay on the wrong shoulder

You will note that your thoughts on my attire I did not ask
Your insistence on pointing out this minute failing is why I bring you to task

But think a moment if you would
If this minor detail of a splendid evening should

Be the only thing that attracts for gaze,
and that you criticize instead of praise?

Look once more at these pictures of friends well gathered
Then find it in your heart to offer a comment better mannered

Go back and look at the revelry
The glad bright faces I hope you’ll see

The good company assembled for happy times
Is what is worth noting, instead of small fashion crimes

Perhaps you can find a kinder word
    Better suited to be heard

Look to this group and give a cheer
    For the goodwill apparent here

I hear a rumour that there is video footage of the band. If in fact that is the case, I would REALLY like to get my mitts on it. We're taking a shot at getting on the "second stage" at Ben Lomond next year, and footage of the band playing would really help the cause.

Speaking as the southernmost NorCal Rabble, all of you Back Easties, Upper Midwesties, and Canadians/iens are welcome to come out next year for such festivities. With any luck it'll fall after Beer/Kilt Night again.

AS for why the fly-plaid on that particular shoulder....who cares? He looked good, he had fun and nobody at the event gave two hoots. *shrug*

What Dewar Rattray bottling is that? i think Dewar Rattray use to have great bottlings, especially their Bowmore bottling! (could be that he is related to the bowmore-family)
