Way to go!!
I'm VERY happy for you. You gotta be proud. Like the lady Matt mentioned said, the more kilts in that tartan that are out there the more it'll be accepted.
And, I thought the tablecloth look was the badge of honor. Didn't the first one start with a tablecloth at the games?
Kilted Wonder's idea of cutting an existing lab coat into a Scottish jacket look lab coat is a great one.
And hey, you know how around rezlands you can get beadwork on your stethascope? Maybe you can get a beadworker to bead up yours with a matching red and white bead pattern/look as an accessorie...?

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Matt and I discussed this, and he felt that getting the larger sett would make it look more tartan, and less tablecloth. Since a couple of people (including my dad) have made mention of the tablecloth resemblance, I'm not sure we entirely succeeded. 8)
That's not so unusual. Some MacGregors like to wear the Rob Roy tartan, which is a red-and-black diced (checked) pattern.

He'll need some hose and flashes, in which to tuck his scalpal as a sgian dhu. I recommend red-and-white diced hose.
