I'll be away that weekend, but otherwise I'd be in. Especially since I live about 12 minutes from Piper's Cove.
John was actually the piper at my wedding in October!
Next time!

Yup, I'm set on Piper's Cove too. Let's just meet up there and go to the pub crawl afterwards. If some people want to skip Piper's Cove and meet us at Scotland Yard then that works too. I'll be driving so I can bring some folks over to Hoboken with me from Kearny.
Chef,
The Path train is probably your best bet into Hoboken from NYC and vice versa. Hoboken station is literally a block away from Scotland Yard (sorta at a diagonal from the entrance of the station- can't miss it). The Path train from 33rd Street to Hoboken Station: $1.50 each way. It's probably best to take the LIRR into Penn Station and then walk over to the 33rd street Path stop and take that into Hoboken.

If we are really going to Pub crawling at Scotland Yard, I wonder how early are you looking to get started at Piper's Cove?
I would think if we start out "too early" the only "crawling" will wind up being to bed
Maybe we should Poll:
How much actual $hopping time do folks want, as oppose to a two hour visit/ tour of Pipers Cove?
How early are folks actually willing to meet?
:beer:How Late do the Pub crawlers want to stay out drinking? int:

For me taking the train from L.I. to the city then the path to N.J. then making my way to Kearny, then back to Hoboken is a bit of work, your talking about a couple of hours of travel time alone. Then drinking on top then do the whole thing to get back home. To me thats to long of a day its not a pub crawl its a safari. I dont think Ill be making the trip. Sorry have fun.

Instead of getting OFF Path in HOBOKEN , you could stay on the Path Train and go straight to Harrison/Kearney?
Or
Come for the Pub crawl?
Remember When it is your turn to Host the Long Island Pub crawl.

How's a 1:00 meet-up at the Harrison PATH train stop for a few hours of shopping & lunch, which would get us back to Hoboken/Scotland by 5 PM for the pub crawl? As for ending time: late, laddie, very late....

I agree Keith, It will feel like a very long day. Considering, the Hoboken/ Scotland Yard pub crawl has been deferred or canceled twice. Starting so early and rushing back to Hoboken @ 5pm,? seems like a safari.
Scotland yard does not begin to get lively until 7pm
Pipers Cove hours< from their web site> : Fri. and Sat. 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Just wondering if 3:30pm meet at Harrison PaTH would be better.
Shopping at Piper's Cove < 2 hours> from 3 - 5:30pm then return to Hoboken by 6/6:30 pm seems less rush, rush.

Both my visits to Pipers Cove have (happily) taken longer I thought they were going to. With weekend train schedules, and knowing how convivial John and Joan are (the owners) and how excited they're going to be when confronted with all of us, I think 2:30 at Harrison PATH would allow us ample time with them and would justify the trek. Any later and the pub crawl might not start until 8...
