Theatre Organs? Rex--You're a man after my own heart. If you
would like, visit the ATOS website www.atos.org and click on
conventions. The 2008 national convention will be held in and around
Indianapolis. The After-Glow will be in Cincinnatti. You may want to
consider joining the National group. You can find your local chapter
from the National website. ATOS ( American Theatre Organ Society )
was formed to restore, promote, and preserve the Theatre Organ and
it's music. Our North Texas Chapter ( NTC-ATOS ) has restored a
1926-ish vintage Wurlitzer 3/17 Theatre Organ and installed it in
the McKinney Performing Arts Center ( MPAC ) up in McKinney, TX.
At each of our 6 chapter meetings a year, we have a guest artist.
After the performance we have goodies to eat and Open Console.
During 'Open Console', ANYONE can play the theatre organ.
Once in a while I even get to play the beast!
I hope you enjoy the ATOS website.
