Can't really comment on Whiskies, I only ever drink a couple of brands... But on the beer, Isn't there a company called Greens that offers wheat free beers in the UK? I know Budwiser has a sorghum based beer here, I've tried it, it wasn't any worse than their regular crap.

Be glad you aren't moving to Virginia. All of the liquor stores are state owned.

As here in Ontario. Beer is bought at Brewer's Retail (the Beer Store) that is owned by the large breweries. Nothing in your corner store although some grocery stores sell wine, the only independant liquor sales. Seems to work we can now buy booze until 11pm and on Sunday's. And to think we used to supply Al Capone with his wares.

Arlen,
Check the laws in Idaho. There are several big liquor retailers online, especially in California. Unfortunately, Oregon law prohibits sales from online vendors. Idaho may not.
As far as gluten free beers, there are several available here and they are pretty good. My brother-in-law is a celiac and he was able to have beer for the first time in 30 years. I'll try to get some names for you the next time I beer shop.

Beer and wine can be purchased at any convenience or grocery store. Whiskey and other stronger beverages are only available at the state owned stores called ABC(Alcohol Beverage Control ) stores, and they are closed on Sundays and holidays.

You should have specified that you were talking about Virginia. Every state, and sometimes county, is different.
