Ron, I have written a new rule just for you.
Thou shalt wear the Tartan of thine fathers name.
Thou shalt wear that Tartan and only that Tartan.
For you are a product of the blood of your father and fathers before him. Your father's Tartan shall be worn only as long as you can trace his lineage through sixteen generations of which ten must have been residents of the ancestral lands and in possession of the family arms as granted by Royal Decree.
Your fathers Tartan must be able to be proven to have been designed and registered prior to the arrival of Saint Andrew.
If no such proof of lineage and antiquity exists thou shalt be restriced from wearing your father's Tartan.
In the case of you being denied the wearing of your father's Tartan you will be required to restrict your Choice of Tartans only to those of plebeian and modern design (after 4:00pm 18 November 1124).
