Hey folks! Dave in Colorado Springs here. Haven't been on the site for awhile. I'd love to go, but that place looks awfully british...the Irishman in me couldn't bear it :-)

Sorry everyone, I shall be skiing champagne powder in Aspen this weekend (after likely slugging up hill in the backcountry to get the last remaining stashes). So, think of me sweating/freezing and skiing whilst y'all sip some fine scotch. BTW, I got the following email the other day. It's at Pints, it involves tartans, it's for a good cause, and it involves Haggis!!!!!! Here's the email:

    "

Pint’s Pub is proud to present as part of the Scottish Tartan Day
Celebration a benefit fundraiser for The Masonic Scottish Rite Foundation’s
Children’s Hospital Program for Speech Therapy the 6th Annual Single Malt
    Scotch Whisky Tasting and Dinner.

    WHERE:

    Pint’s Pub
    221 West 13th Avenue, Denver
(On 13th Avenue between Bannock and Cherokee Streets)

    WHEN:

    Sunday, April 6, 2008

    TIME:

    4:00

    COST:

    $50.00 per person

Includes several great single malt Scotch whiskies, a delicious light
buffet, the best haggis sampling in town, and an authentic and outstanding
    bangers and mash dinner!

Because of limited space, designated drivers and non-whisky drinkers are
welcome to participate for the full $50.00 cost. This will entitle them to
soft drinks and/or any other standard bar drinks and the entire food and
door prize offering. There will be a charge for any other alcoholic
    beverages.

Several great door prizes will be awarded including a stay at Glen Eyrie
    Castle!

Reservations are required and seating is limited.

Send your check to Ken McIntosh, 8989 W. 14th Avenue, #405-South, Lakewood,
CO 80215 made out to Pint’s Pub by March 31st.

    Call 303-234-0469 with any questions.

Why do you think I picked Pints Pub? It sure wasn't for the beer.
