What's likely to happen is the State will tax the heck out of it and the Feds will raise taxes on us next year for a net loss for us.

I was waiting to see who would start this thread on the US 'rebate.' Well, the wife has already told me its all mine to do as I wish. What a gem. Now mind you she is wondering about my growing kilt collection and a little concerned with time spent on the forum. With the last couple of kilted photos she has taken for me she refers to me as Celtic Ken (reference to Barbie's (the doll) boy friend). I think I need to do my patriotic duty and do as the President and Congress desire us to do and spend it saving us from the Recession. Okay Rocky (Robertson semi traditional) and Matt (Malcolm modern box pleat) a chunk will be coming your way!

Since I made a grand total of four grand last year, I wouldn't owe any taxes, anyway. Of course, I lived on about $15k last year. Ain't student loans grand?
I hear you. I'm in my 7th year of college. One degree down, and about to finish my masters. I'll likely be spending me monies on gasoline. Driving 120 miles a day for classes gets expensive . But IF I have anything left, I's spendin it on a new sporran!
In the unlikely event I get the money, I will either be paying bills, or if everything lines up right, maybe using it to help pay for an intense eight week training camp, the details of which I cannot disclose.
