T-shirt slogans with a dash of humor can certainly diffuse a tense situation without a word actually being said. My 'Built for a kilt" has often done so especially when in the midst of a 'redneck' rabble. (It's hard to pick on someone who makes you smile). Such T-shirts are only suitable for casual attire of course, one would hardly wear it to a formal kilted wedding, or church service.

I have two tshirts with stuff on them that I wear with my kilts.
One is a Guinness t-shirt.
The other is a Devils Canyon Brewery t-shirt.
The message is unmistakeable.
I DRINK BEER.
......................and I'm comfortable with that!

Maybe not the shirts to wear when passing thru a DUI check.

A friend of ours has a shirt that says
"Ewe Sheep Shagger".
Sorry, it was bound to come up more than three or four times.
I still like the shirt

I saw a shirt once (and have never seen it since) that was actually referring to Levi button-fly jeans, but I wanted it for a Kilt shirt. It simply said "That's a dangerous place for a zipper".

I'm thinkin' those two are pretty money. Jax and I fancied one that said "No Nae Never" (in homage to The Wild Rover), or maybe just one that said "Nae," but I'm sure that one would still need explanation to some.
