The older I get, the less inclined I am to waste my time arguing with these sort of people. To quote Lazarus Long (Robert Heinlein)

“Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.”

Hence the non-English speaking act. It's amazing how many people will accept what they consider wrong, or eccentric behavior from "ferriners", because "they just don't know any better".
