Slainte, I am not new to the kilt having bought mine when I was 25, which was a few years back.

Despite the Scottish heritage, I haven't had as much opportunity to wear the kilt as some here do. Or have as wide a wardrobe as Hamish.

I do have quite a formal collection though since I am more likely to wear it to a formal highland gathering than on the street.

Anyway, this is a fabulous resource for kilt stuff. Sure some of the info here is opinion, but it is good to get an opinion from knowledgable people.

BTW, USA kilts is a great source having done business with them.

You may find more opportunity to be kilted. The kilt in various forms is really becoming quite popular in the U.S. My avatar shows the mode I and several other men appear in church every Sunday. This past Sunday there were more kilts than trousers on the men in attendance.
