    Hey Ron, I am talking about exactly what you said. A t-shirt with the Hawaiian shirt open It is loose enough that it doesn't cause a problem with the heat... Half the problem, out in the desert, is keeping the direct sun off everything. It wouldn't be Scottish though, LOL! Hmmm, why wear the t-shirt...?

    In my mind, and all I have to go by is what I see in my mind, the solid color kilt looks very good with a hawaiian shirt worn open and outside the kilt. A kakhi kilt conveys the essence of a grass skirt, perhaps. I think the black kilt would also work quite well... The Magnum P.I. look...
