Plaid Shirt with Solid Color Kilt

I think it's a great idea! Of course, I wear laid shirts with tartan kilts. I've also been know to wear a yellow aloha shirt with a Royal Stewart tie and a Clergy Tartan kilt.

So, don't take my advice.

Ehh... I don't think I would do that...

I'm thinking more on the line of wearing a tartan driving cap, or a shirt with a tartan patern... But not mixing tartan.

RiverKilt had a thread on tartan jackets... I forget what they were called, but they had leather sleeves. I've also wondered if a solid color kilt could be fitted with a tartan apron. Kind of the reverse of the WW I canvas apron, but I have no idea how that could be done.
