    Ehh... I don't think I would do that...

    I'm thinking more on the line of wearing a tartan driving cap, or a shirt with a tartan patern... But not mixing tartan.

    RiverKilt had a thread on tartan jackets... I forget what they were called, but they had leather sleeves. I've also wondered if a solid color kilt could be fitted with a tartan apron. Kind of the reverse of the WW I canvas apron, but I have no idea how that could be done.
