I don't know the answer to your "laundry" question.I would hazard a guess though, that most B&B's would be fairly obliging.Don't make the mistake,in the highlands particularly,of looking at your map and seeing a town written IN LARGE LETTERS and thinking it is a town of considerable size, therefore it should have all the facilities.It may have a bus stop and 20 houses and that will be it!OH, and NO FUEL!
