Gold Brothers - Pride of Scotland
Hi all,
I've read a lot about Gold Brothers on the forum, and was wondering if anyone knew if the Pride of Scotland shop on Princes street was theirs? Also a bit confused about the Pride of Scotland tartan and the shop?
Cheers,
A

First
I'm not sure if the Pride of Scotland shop is a Gold Brothers entity.
The Pride of Scotland Tartan is a line of fashion tartans primarily marketed to those who don't have a family or district tartan that they can call their own. I think it is becoming a popular choice at rental shops.

I see, makes sense about the general Pride of Scotland tartan.
Its interesting about the shop on Prince's street, becasue I phoned them to ask if they are Gold Brothers (I thought the shop had something to do with the Pride of Scotland tartan hence the confusion!) but the guy said no - but their website looks like Gold Brothers to me.
Wondering if anyone else knows who owns Pride of Scotland - curiouser and curiouser!

Even if they're not the Gold Brothers, could've fooled me...
Still just another ruddy tat shop.

I didn't realise they had a website. Just looked it up and I would be very surprised if it wasn't one of theirs.
Not everything the Gold Brothers sell is c**p but I would never buy anything from them only because of the c***p they do sell and the way they do business, with misleading labels, undercutting Scottish industries etc.

That's what I thought after seeing their website, but the Gold Brothers website doesnt have them listed as one of their shops. I agree, its c***p anyway but just got my sherlock holmes hat on and just incredibly curious and wondering if there's a reason why its all so suspicious!
