Out of Lurk Mode
Hi everybody ;
I have been lurking for about a month now and am loving this forum. I decided to wait to register until my kilt and accessories came, the FedEx lady brought it to my door this morning
I have been dreaming of "going kilted" for years but like many others here concerned with the "am I authorized" question and wanting to get something that I had a connection with. I have done a lot of genealogy work so I know that I have no Scottish ancestors at least in the last 4 generations and probably closer to 10 generations. I am 16 years into my Navy career [Nuke Electrician and now ISC/SS] so I knew that those 3 or 4 tartans were an option [also a bubblehead expanding these choices]. While trolling around for tartan options I came accross the Colorado state and fell in love with it
That should do it for an initial introduction.

Welcome to the group. To many of us, the wearing of the kilt is the most important aspect. In Canada we still have many reserve highland regiments. There are many members of all nationalities.

Hello and a warm from a warm and sunny Boston, Massachusetts.
One kilt now, many more in the future. After being kilted a short time, I have given up on trousers forever.
