A word of thanks to USAK

Here's the situation- I ordered a semi trad in Clergy tartan on Jan. 26th so I would have it by St Patty's Day. I have a small startup wedding coordination business that's just starting to get off the ground. We found out about a charity dinner that the El Jebel Shrine is having on March 1. So I emailed Rocky last Sunday to ask him if I could pay him a rush fee to get my kilt so I would have it for the event. I made sure to ask him if it even reasonable of me to ask with such short notice. I know his shop isn't open until Thursday. He email me back Wednsday morning and told me to call him at the shop. I called him Thursday, and this evening, much to my joy and surprise, I recieved an email from him telling me that my kilt is now complete, packaged and ready to go! In 4 four days, the guy got my kilt ready to go 6 weeks ahead of when I expected to have it! So as the title says---

    THANKS USAK!!!

Hey! Congratulations on all those things... And hope your new business becomes much successful el quicko pranto.

Sorry, I'm in the middle of cooking pork chops or I would come up with something really stupid to say.

Ahhhhh, those were good chops... El Jebel Shrine, member or guest?

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

No problem Nighthawk... we don't call it a "RUSH fee" for nothing!

BTW... The STORE HOURS are Thursday through Saturday. Kelly and I are physically here 6 or 7 days a week making kilts, but we don't get much work done with people stopping in to chat, so we limit the store hours so we can "put our nose to the grindstone" as it were. Hope that clears it up.

Thanks, Ted! I'm excited. I'll never be a member (you have to be a master Mason and I just don't have the time to invest). We're guests of a guy I work with. My business partner just emailed and told me about some Celtic knotwork bridal favors she just finished painting. I can't wait to see them! She's excellent.

And Rocky- I assumed that you folks were working 'round the clock. You strike me as that kind of guy. It seems like a good reason to limit store hours to me.

Ya... I was getting ready to be surprised that you were a Mason, but that you know you would need to be a (master Mason) is nice in itself. BTW, I am not a Mason... I'm... nothing. Although I am a member of that grocery store thing... and a credit union...

Anyway, good luck, and hope all goes well.

My Mason buddy has been bugging me to join. I just don't have the time. I have two kids, two jobs, and I'm in a living history group. As much as I would like to become a mason, there is only so much one person can do. I have to keep my library close to my bathroom just so I can find time to read! You know, combine two activities...
