Hello and a warm from snowy Boston, Massachusetts. As far as the "cold" part goes... About seven yards of nice 16 oz. woven wool wrapped around me, with knitted wool hose to just below the knee, compared to 1-1/2 yards of 6oz. denim jeans. I am proudly kilted year round, and very very toasty where it counts. Yes the kilt is warmer than trousers any day of winter and cooler any hot day of summer. It is amazing what all that insulation value adds up to... Jeans R-2 to Kilt R-16. Simple. Now put the kilt on and get some pictures to feed ye Rabble. ---- Steve
